9:56 – Weldon didn’t exactly try to replicate Mendel’s results – he didn’t make any centers. His plates were further a proof of concept showing that the color trait of the pea was more variable than Mendel let on. It certainly wasn't binary.

1:50 p.m. – It was actually Mendel's 200th birthday LAST year, but this video took so long to make that I never noticed this error in the script as the new year progressed. Well, happy belated 200th birthday, Mendel.
