Our popular global weather series provides a look at how major weather events across the planet look from space.

Major storms are colored according to their intensity (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Storm_colour).

This visualization displays infrared images of clouds from the geostationary satellites of EUMETSAT, the US National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), and the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). . Cloud imagery is overlaid on NASA's "Blue Marble Next Generation" ground maps and changes with the seasons.

Produced by the EUMETSAT digital media team and global cloud imagery kindly provided by Météo-France. By merging satellite data with that of our partners, we are able to obtain a comprehensive view of the entire planet.
