Most techs I know believe in Malwarebytes. I think because it's free and perhaps easy to install, they think it's okay to put this software on their customer's computer.

I recently had a client who had Malwarebytes on their computer and it was infected. He also had a paid subscription and did not know his license key or the password to log in to his account. He tried to contact Malwarebytes for service to find out what he was being charged, but was unable to reach them.

Instead, he had to use their chatbot to ask his question. He was then sent to support without a phone number to contact them about his purchase.
