Should I do what I love and take the “leap of destiny”? Or should I take a steady job and find another outlet for my passion?

For some, the answer is simple: yes. No matter the salary or fame that comes with it, they will be internally happy doing what they love as a career.

For others, the answer is much more difficult: no. There are financial responsibilities that make it difficult to pursue your true passion: starting a family, paying off thousands of loans, or even just paying rent.

This week's episode addresses the question of passion versus career. Jeremy Rathjen says he has yet to follow his passion for art as a career.

Jeremy is a talented artist and has found ways to monetize it on the side. However, he didn't take the leap of destiny to make it his career for many reasons, and he may never do so.

We explore these reasons and discuss the pros and cons of pursuing your passion as a career and the uncertainty that comes with it versus taking a different path to paying the bills and keeping your passion a hobby.

For anyone interested in art, a potential career change to follow their passion, or listening to two best friends chat together, this episode is for you!
