A programming paradigm is a style, or “way” of programming.
A paradigm is a way of doing something (like programming), not a concrete thing (like a language).

Some common programming paradigms:
Imperative: Programming with an explicit sequence of commands that update the state.
Declarative: Programming by specifying the desired result, not how to achieve it.
Structured: Programming with clean nested control structures, without goto.
Procedural: Imperative programming with procedure calls.
