Originally from Africa, Daniel immigrated to Canada with his family. He wasn't satisfied working as a machinist in Alberta's oil and gas industry – he wanted more. His educational journey in North America began with continuing education at the University of Calgary.

Like many of us, Daniel has real-world experience but needs to upskill to advance in his career path. With the support of his family, he was able to reconcile his life with his studies. The ability to work both online and in the classroom allowed Daniel to spend time with his family and learn the essential skills needed to move forward.

A recent graduate of UCalgary Continuing Education's Occupational Health and Safety Advanced Certificate program, Daniel is moving on to a new role and bigger opportunities.
