Full dome view of the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) at Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), a program of NSF's NOIRLab. The Kitt Peak VLBA is part of the larger VLBA interferometer at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. The array consists of 10 identical antennas, separated by distances ranging from 200 kilometers to 8,600 transcontinental kilometers (the longest baseline being between Maunakea, Hawaii and St. Croix, Virgin Islands).
