The good news is that tropical systems are not expected to develop in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, or Atlantic Ocean through the end of July. Saharan dust has brought drier air but is expected to become less prevalent in August. This means that hurricane season could become very active as water temperatures remain very warm.
