The first half of the 1980s was quite an adventure for Audi. The Sport Quattro rally car won the World Rally Championship for the first time in 1982 and again in 1984, finishing second in 1983 and 1985, but by 1986 it had become clear that the Sport Quattro, as great as it was -it, was no longer as competitive as before, and even if it was, Group B was dead, so they looked for new competition. This is the story of the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO.
