The Lagoon Nebula (also known as Messier 8 or M8) is a giant interstellar cloud located in the constellation Sagittarius. It is classified as an emission nebula and an H II region. The Lagoon Nebula is estimated to be between 4,000 and 6,000 light years from Earth and extends 90 feet by 40 feet into the sky, which translates to an actual dimension of 110 by 50 light years.

To capture the Lagoon Nebula, you used your Celestron 90GT telescope and DSLR camera. You've stacked over 3 hours of data using Deep Sky Stacker and Siril for post-processing. You also used Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance the image.

The Lagoon Nebula is a popular target for astrophotographers and astronomers.
