In a world that often glorifies constant happiness, many of us feel compelled to repress our true emotions. But emotional suppression can take a toll on our mental health. It is essential to know our emotions and find healthy ways to communicate and regulate them. Embracing all of our feelings – not just happiness – leads to greater well-being and greater authenticity. Let's break the cycle of emotional suppression and prioritize our mental health by accepting and expressing all of our emotions. As the founder and CEO of Happy Minds, Shreeya has made significant strides in mental health and wellbeing. Recognized as a 2024 Forbes Under 30 Asia honoree, she has dedicated her career to addressing the mental health gaps faced by Nepalis around the world, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
