The Gemini North telescope, part of the international Gemini Observatory, is the star of this full-dome video. Located near the summit of Maunakea in Hawaii, this massive telescope with an 8.1-meter primary mirror is an astronomical force to be reckoned with. The telescope contributed to the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics for testing general relativity near the center of the Milky Way. Additionally, it was also used to obtain the first direct images of a family of exoplanets.
