This event is dedicated to the theme of the future of work and the impact of digital technology. Two main aspects will be addressed: the “platformisation” of the labour market and the transformative implications of AI for employment relations and job quality. What trends do we see emerging and what are the challenges? What is the approach of the European regulator? And what should be the regulatory and research agenda to ensure that workers’ dignity is part of the equation when addressing digital transformation?

The event is multidisciplinary in nature, with ETUI and external researchers presenting data, trends, regulatory analyses and their own reflections on defining a model for a better digital world of work. The second part of the event is dedicated to early-career researchers who have the opportunity to present and discuss their work in four thematic panels.
