Real-time flood forecasting is one of the most effective flood risk management measures. Many governments have bespoke hydrological forecasting services that continuously monitor and forecast coastal and river water levels.

However, given the rapid advancements in technologies, such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing, as well as our changing macroeconomic environment, the big question is: how will they impact the field of hydrological forecasting? ?
