In the Spring 2024 over-the-air update (version 2024.14.x), Tesla introduced cabin filter monitoring. This change in the service menu monitors the status of cabin filters and HEPA filters (if your car is equipped with them).
Tesla recommends replacing cabin filters every 2 years on vehicles without a HEPA filter (Model 3 and older Models S, Y) and every 3 years on vehicles equipped with the additional HEPA filter (Model Y, Model model S). With this monitoring in the service menu, you can now at least get a guide to the condition of your filters before you jump into replacing them.
