My 5 tips:
1. Visit the ABOUT section of the brand: are they transparent about their process and where the fabrics come from?
2. Google the brand: have there been any sourcing/production scandals the brand has been involved in?
3. Look for certification symbols in online stores and check the symbols on the Ecolabel Index: http://goo.gl/9KTKSr
Examples: GOTS and FAIR TRADE.
4. Search by country, brand or production criteria on Eco Fashion World: http://goo.gl/DWMntR
Example: ABURY, a label based in Berlin with production in Morocco: http://goo.gl/h2XE8m
5. Read sustainable fashion blogs and websites. Here are some interesting ones:
