When you're a young adult, you can usually eat crap without a problem because you tend to be more active. As you age, staying healthy means you need to start being proactive about the amount of exercise you do and the type (and amount) of food you eat. Gaining weight as you age significantly increases your risk of cardiovascular disease, so it's something that's very important to prevent. The best way to stay healthy is to live healthy; it's actually not as difficult as you might think.
