Hi. My name is Rebecca from engVid. Today, I am particularly happy to welcome you to a new series that I created entitled: /"How to speak like a manager/". In this series you will learn how to learn general English and upgrade it to business English. All right? And we'll do this by looking at different verbs you can use, adjectives, nouns, etc. All right? But today in this lesson we will focus on eight verbs. But you may be wondering: /"Only eight verbs and I can become a manager?/" Well, yes. /"Why?/" Because I'm going to show you how these eight verbs, for starters, can actually be used in hundreds of ways, in different collocations or word combinations, so you'll be able to use them in all sorts of situations. Certainly in professional situations, but also in social or personal situations. All right? So, let's get started now. All right.
So let's say what you wanted to say in general English or plain English goes something like this: /"I need to find out what's wrong./" Okay? Now, on this side, there is all regular English or general English. All right? And on this side, we're going to express the same idea, but in higher English, in more advanced business English or in more professional English. And you're going to help me because I haven't written the word yet. You're going to help me because maybe you already know some of these words, but even if you do, you might not realize how many different ways we can actually use these same words, and that's what that I want you to be able to do. . All right? So let's say the idea in your mind is: /"I need to find out what's wrong./" So how can we say this in more professional English? /"I need/
