Quality
The word stamp also describes the term quality. Since different sources produce different sounds, timbre helps us distinguish them. Good quality sound is pleasant to listen to. The instruments come in different shapes and sizes and produce different volume harmonics, making it easy to distinguish their sound.

Intensity
Loudness is a sensation of the strength of a sound wave in a location. It is always a relative term and is a dimensionless quantity. Sound volume is measured in decibels (dB). It is given as follows:

The volume depends on the amplitude of the vibration. It will be louder when the amplitude is high. Suppose that when we pluck a string of the sitar, it starts to vibrate with a small amplitude and if we apply more energy by plucking harder, the string will vibrate with the largest amplitude and produce a loud sound. As the amplitude of the vibrations increases, the sound also increases.

Pitch is a characteristic of sound by which a correct note can be distinguished from a low or flat note. We can identify a female and male voice without seeing them. The term “pitch” is often used in music. The pitch depends on the frequencies of the sound wave. A note has a higher pitch when the frequency is high and a low frequency note has a lower pitch. For example, when a small baby speaks something, his voice has a higher frequency, so in the case of a baby, the tone is higher than that of a man. High frequency sound is called shrill
