Imagine a world in which you can monitor the movement of magma in the Earth's crust, peer around the corner without moving, and detect the first signs of degenerative disease. Welcome to the quantum world! This course will introduce you to the weird and wonderful world of quantum and quantum sensing, a technology that is transforming our world. The quantum world is made up of the smallest fragments of subatomic matter and exhibits sometimes strange and mysterious behaviors. During these four sessions, you will join John Abraham, Senior Scientist at the Applied Physics Laboratory, who will guide you through the world of qubits, protons and waves.
