Chandra, the largest X-ray space telescope to date, detects high-energy emissions from very hot regions of the universe. Since its launch in 1999, Chandra has generated hundreds of thousands of images. But X-rays only reveal part of the picture. Researchers combine Chandra data with other wavelengths to create images revealing the different types of energy emitted by objects in space.
