My friend Jon is a freelance photographer who shoots for bloggers like Lily Melrose and musicians like Lindsey Stirling & Bastille, among others! Today he gives us his three best tips for taking photos of your work for a design portfolio so your work looks great and gets you jobs. If you're just starting to build a portfolio, or even if you have one but are looking to improve it; This video should give you lots of good advice! Design and photography often go hand in hand, so as a designer, the more you learn about photography, the better 🙂

Filming with friends is fun! as you can tell by my annoying laughs and lame jokes in this video… I met Jon at a YouTube Happy Hour a few months ago, when his friend Olly was taking a Snapchat and we were on the road.
