About this course
This course will provide you with a basic knowledge of plasma physics and its applications, allowing you to understand some of the most important phenomena in space and astrophysics, how plasmas can be used in industry and how to achieve fusion on Earth. contribute to solving the energy problem in sustainable development. In the first part, we will present the state of plasma and describe models, from single particles to fluid, that can be applied to study its dynamics. In part two, we will illustrate and discuss examples of plasmas in space and astrophysics, and discuss plasma applications in industry and medicine. The third part will focus on fusion energy, from fusion reactor design and technology, to plasma confinement configurations for fusion, and finally to confinement, heating, control and extracting energy from a burning plasma.
