There are many definitions of the term, but to put it simply: it is using multiple channels to reach consumers to get results.
In my world, this is when we manage with a client multiple forms of marketing touchpoints such as: social media marketing, search engine optimization, website design, press releases, payment per click, etc.
Then we can take each of those mentioned above and dig deeper into channel specific placements, organic and paid placements, etc.
This is my favorite form of marketing because it allows us to have a very clear view of the big picture. We can see what's working and what's not, what needs more attention, where the low-hanging fruit are, and so on.
I have a handful of clients who rely on Digital Sargeant for omnichannel marketing and it's usually in these situations that we have bigger conversations about KPIs AND these clients are usually hands-on (which is also great) .
