No guide to becoming an amateur astronomer would be complete without a chapter on the Moon. I admit that I was one of those people who cursed the Moon for erasing the deep sky objects I wanted to observe, but the Moon is worth studying and has many fascinating features. This is by no means a comprehensive course on Moon observing: you could spend your life simply studying the Moon. I mainly point out some facts about the moon and highlight some of its features with video footage and photos that I took with my Dobsonian 10/", a Barlow 3x and a Sony A6600.
