Nowadays, many websites try to guess what we might like: “Recommendation for you in books” or “People you might like.” Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Wouldn't it be cool if you could do the same thing in your application? Well this session is made for you! In the first part of this talk, recommender systems will be introduced, focusing on collaborative filtering (CR) algorithms. After that, we'll dive into Prediction.io, an open-source machine learning server for software developers to build predictive features, such as personalization, recommendation, and content discovery. In the last part, we will discuss the details of integration with a PHP application.
