Medical Guardian sells six medical alert systems (#medicalalertsystem). This video reviews the three on-the-go medical alert systems: Mobile Guardian, Active Guardian, and Freedom Guardian. Although all three devices are designed as portable systems on the go, they can also protect seniors inside their homes.
If needed, you can call for help with the press of a button. The call center has your information, so it knows who is calling and your medical situation. You can even call for non-emergency help. And, with optional fall detection, most of these devices will call for help even when you can't.
With the exception of the smartwatch and some optional jewelry, the equipment you need comes to you free of charge. You don't even pay for activation, just for the service. And you don't have to sign a long-term contract that requires you to keep paying whenever you want to stop!
These three mobile devices rely on a national cellular network. You don't need to have a cell phone or pay for additional cell phone service.
The Mobile Guardian's two-way speakerphone with adjustable volume will connect you via cellular signal to one of their accredited US-based call centers, open 24 hours a day. There, trained professionals will contact first responders such as as paramedics, police or firefighters if the client requests it.
If they cannot hear you, they will call your designated phone number to check on your well-being. If they don't reach you, they will send emergency services to the Mobile Guardian's location. Using GPS, the system can pinpoint your location even if you can't communicate or don't know where you are!
The Active Guardian, which Medical Guardian says is its most popular system, demonstrates the old principle that "good things come in small packages." Measuring less than three inches and weighing approximately 2.6 ounces, this little titan is small enough for the user to wear around the neck with a lanyard, but large enough to include:
GPS and WiFi location technologies to minimize the time needed to find a person in distress;
A battery that will power the device for up to 5 days;
It's water resistant, so you can wear it in the shower.
The Freedom Guardian is both a medical alert device and a smartwatch, so you can wear an alert device discreetly and use it every day, not just in an emergency.
