There will be two one-hour sessions that will include panel presentations with questions and answers. The first hour will feature speakers and panelists from the NSF and U.S. maritime installations. It will focus on proposal writing and the logistical and technical aspects of planning a research campaign. The second hour (not recorded so the discussion can be more open) will feature three senior scientists who are active users of marine facilities, and they will share with us their own experience writing proposals and organizing campaigns of research. There will be 30 minutes of Q&A at the end of each hour.
The target audience for this early career session will be (in the near future) new research scientists in marine seismology experiments, postdocs and graduate students.
The Marine Seismology Symposium was held virtually for two weeks, March 8-19, 2021: https://marineseismology.us2.pathable.com/.
