UPDATE: I'm making materials for all of my lectures available on my website (melstrong.org) either for people who are bored and stuck at home due to the virus, or for teachers looking of online content. For this lecture, I have three sets of cloud images to practice identifying – with answers.

In this talk I present the cloud classification system created by Luke Howard. We review cumulus, altocumulus, cirrocumulus, stratocumulus, cumulonimbus, stratus, altostratus, cirrostratus, nimbostratus, cirrus, lenticular and mammatus.

Originally part of the Blue Planet Lecture Series at the University of New Mexico. This is the first in a series of lectures I have published on introductory weather. Check out the playlist on my channel to see the full list in order.
