Q: How long did the trip take?
A: About 18 days. But I would say it can be done in 2 weeks. If you want more time to explore, 3 weeks should be enough.

Q: How many days do I need in each city?
A: I would say 3 to 5 days in Kyoto and Osaka. Nara 1-2 days. At least 4 to 6 days in Tokyo but more is better.

Q: How much did it cost?
A: Excluding hotel airfare, we had a budget of around $2,000.

Q: Are there vegan restaurants in Japan?
A: Yes, I have found many, and most restaurants offer vegan meals.

Q: What month did you go?
A: We went in July, but I would recommend visiting either in the fall or spring.
