NASA's Earth Science Data Systems (ESDS) program has invested in open science by migrating its Earth science datasets to the cloud and deploying Esri and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant web services ) to support enhanced data discovery, access, visualization, and analysis. Under this initiative, specialized image, feature and geoprocessing services are developed to interact with geographic information systems (GIS) applications without manual data processing. Web services organized by NASA improve access to Earth observation (EO) and human dimensions (HD) data. These services enable users to spatially and temporally analyze high-usage, multidimensional datasets natively in leading GIS tools and software.

In this webinar, see Earthdata GIS in action as we demonstrate these services and capabilities.

**Note: There is a known Esri bug when opening an item (.pitemx) from Portal for ArcGIS in ArcGIS Pro fails when the active portal is not the one the item came from , returning an error message. To work around the issue, switch the active portal to the portal containing the content. Open the .pitemx file again. To do this: Click the Connection menu in the top corner of ArcGIS Pro. Click Manage Portals. Add a portal. Enter https://gis.earthdata.nasa.gov/portal/home/ (if already added, just click Switch to designate this portal). Navigate to your downloaded article file (.pitemx) and double-click to open**.
