Optimizing, cleaning, and refactoring code are probably the most important parts of the development process. Adding new features to a poorly coded base is simply a mistake. Unless you want to introduce a ton of bugs into your code, clean and refactor first, optimize later, and only then can you start coding new features.
I demonstrate all of this in this video where I focus on some major optimizations that take our game to the next level! A good refactoring can be very satisfying, so if poorly written code makes you uncomfortable, this video will ease your mind.
Today I am focusing on increasing our crop yield, optimizing the pumpkin layout, and fixing a lot of bugs in the sunflower part of the code that has been dormant for a while. These changes are essential to moving forward, which we can now do! Let's go and embark on this coding adventure together! It's a wonderful glimpse into the mind of a programmer!
