What are hybridization and inbreeding? Scientists, breeders, and gardeners have long crossed organisms with different characteristics to produce an organism with unique or even superior characteristics.
Additionally, inbreeding is used to preserve traits. For example, Clydesdale horses and German Shepherds are examples of inbreeding.
