Method 1 – WhatsApp in a web browser.
To use WhatsApp through a web browser, simply go to https://web.whatsapp.com/ and scan the QR code.
Once done, you will be logged into your account and using WhatsApp in a browser.
Method 2 – WhatsApp standalone desktop app.

Alternatively, if you want to use WhatsApp as a desktop app, there are several different options, but my recommendation would be to use the unofficial WhatsApp Desktop client.

First, enable Flatpak support for your distribution by following the appropriate instructions.

Once finished, install the WhatsApp Flatpak desktop app as usual, by clicking the blue Install button and then following the installation process from there.
Once the installation is complete, launch WhatsApp Desktop using your app launcher and, like the web version of WhatsApp, scan the QR code to log in to your account.
Finished.
