Last year, I tracked everything I did during the 8,760 hours of a year. I was running multiple businesses, working on multiple YouTube channels, and feeling completely overwhelmed. So I was trying to figure out how to reduce stress and avoid burnout. What I learned after tracking every minute of the year changed everything for me.

So I wanted to make a video showing you everything I've learned and how you can implement the same if you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Like most people, I was multitasking all the time. Switch from one task to another every few minutes. I started reading books about time management and how to reduce stress and be more productive.

I came across two books that really taught me everything I needed to know to solve these problems. The first was the Habits of High Performance and the second was the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

The first lesson I learned was to stop multitasking and switch between tasks as few times as possible. This one took a while to learn.

The second lesson was to track your time, so you have a vague idea of how long things take. They recommended I do this for 3 days or a week, but I continued.

The third lesson was to take a few minutes break between tasks and change your mindset. If you're going from work to home, take a break, take a minute and be in home mode. Stop work mode. Or even while working, take a break between email mode and meeting mode and focus 100% on one task at a time.

I couldn't figure out how to stop multitasking since it was a habit. So I decided to start tracking time. I initially started with just work-related time, then it slowly grew into whatever I was doing a few days later.

I always felt like I didn't have time. I was always short on time at work and always felt short on personal time. Time tracking made me realize that I was wasting a lot of time.

Let me break down the hours in a year for you. You can adjust this according to your activities. This is based on what I followed last year.

We all have 8,760 hours per year.
