Teaching online brings many new and different responsibilities. Whether you're already using video conferencing to connect with your students, or you're just getting started, this video will introduce you to some features to help you stay connected.

0:15 – Register and download
To start using Zoom, go to zoom.us to create an account.

1:04 – Schedule a meeting
On the Zoom home page, click the Schedule button to schedule your meeting in advance. You can personalize your meeting with many options here.

2:50 p.m. – Invite students
You can copy the invitation link, meeting ID, and password and paste this information into an email, learning management system, or any other application you use to communicate with your students.

3:33 p.m. – Start the call
When you begin your call, a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen with many different buttons allowing you to further personalize your call.

5:58 – Screen sharing
Zoom allows you to share your screen with your students and even ask your students to share with you as well. You can share any window you have open on your desktop as well as others, like a whiteboard page or a second camera.

7:55 p.m. – Student engagement
To help you engage your students, Zoom has some great built-in features that allow you to receive feedback and communicate with your students. Chat, breakout rooms, feedback, and polls are all ways you can receive feedback from your students during class.
