Hey what's up.

Today I will show you how to stream music to YouTube using VLC Media Player and Obs Studio.

My goal here is to stream videos from obs and audio from VLC playlist.
And also, since I have two sound cards, I want to use one for streaming and one for PC.
This way I can put the stream in the background and work at the same time or listen to music.

Just follow and everything will be fine.

You have timestamps in the description if you already have programs installed.

Let's download the OBS player first.
You have a download link in the description.
Just follow the installation wizard and go to the end.

Now it's the same with VLC.

Go to the YouTube dashboard and click Go Live.
You can schedule a broadcast for later, but let's test it now.
Select streaming software.

Here we will need this stream key which we will paste into OBS.

Open OBS and go to Settings.
On the left side, click Stream.

Choose the service, YouTube for this tutorial.
Leave this main YouTube server.
Now paste the YouTube stream key.

Click OK.

We now have YouTube and OBS connected.

Now let me quickly create a short overview video so we can get it out there.
Open OBS and drag and drop your image or video here.

If you have a video, make sure it can be looped.
To do this, go to the small cog icon, check the loop option and press OK.

All right. We have a video, now let's watch the audio.

To configure these items, open OBS and select settings.
In the audio tab, make sure to select your sound card.
I will use my realtek for this purpose.
And make sure to turn off the microphone.

Now open VLC media player.
Go tools, preferences.
Here, select the audio tab.
And under the device, select the same sound card that you selected in OBS.

Restart the VLC player.

Ok, now we have connected VLC to OBS. In practice, OBS will stream video and audio from the same audio card.

Now go to the playlist to open the vlc playlist and put some songs in it.
Press Play.

Now go to OBS and click Start Streaming.

If all goes well, you will be able to see and hear your stream.
Of course, when you're ready and have a decent description, you can click Edit and make it public.

To end your streaming, simply stop everything, Youtube, OBS and VLC, and you will be fine.

And there it is, a quick video on how to live stream music on Youtube.
