After its inception in 2016, Vet Chef quickly became one of the most popular food trucks in Western Washington. It was voted the best food truck in Western Washington in 2017 and has doubled its sales each subsequent year, with recent sales approaching the half-million dollar mark.

Vet Chef is not just about profit. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Chef Gourlie also uses his business to support his fellow veterans. Being veteran-owned is an integral part of the Chief Veterinarian’s identity and it’s not just a marketing gimmick. They provide jobs and mentorship to veterans, creating a community outside of the military.
