This summer, i-D is giving you access to our collaborators, the stylists and photographers, designers and filmmakers who create our world. How? With courses inspired by the ‘Learn and Share’ philosophy on which the magazine was built. i-D Summer School is partnering with leading names in the industry for a series of video workshops and how-to guides, so you can continue to create, learn and network from home. Mentors will provide a briefing to everyone who applies, from which we’ll curate a selection that will be critiqued and expanded – basically, the chance to showcase your work to industry insiders. Plus, it’s free, right here on YouTube.

First up, our editor-in-chief Alastair McKimm, interviewed by i-D’s editor-in-chief about how to pitch your story to a magazine (hopefully ours). “Not only do we need to keep our creative community close, connecting, sharing and inspiring each other, but we also need to give them access to our platforms so everyone can share in the huge audience we’re so lucky to have,” says Alastair. “I’d love to take this opportunity to really tap into our creativity.”

The first workshop will take place on Thursday, July 9. See you at the Summer School!
