Managing your cellular data usage is essential to avoid exceeding your data plan limits and incurring additional charges. Here's how to turn cellular data on, off, and manage your iPhone:
Turning cellular data on/off

Open the Settings app:
Tap the Settings app on your home screen.

Tap Cellular:
In the Settings menu, tap Cellular (or Mobile Data, depending on your region).

Toggle cellular data:
Toggle the Cellular Data switch to the on (green) position to enable cellular data.
Toggle the switch to the off (gray) position to turn off cellular data.

Managing cellular data usage

View data usage:
In the Cellular Settings menu, scroll down to view your data usage for the current period and the apps that use cellular data.

Limit data usage for specific applications:
Scroll down the list of apps and turn off the switch next to any app you don't want to use cellular data for. This will limit the app to Wi-Fi only.

Enable low data mode:
Low Data mode helps reduce your data usage by suspending automatic updates and background tasks when your iPhone is connected to a cellular network.
To enable Low Data mode, go to Settings, then Cellular, tap Cellular Data Options and enable Low Data mode.

Monitor data roaming:
If you're traveling abroad, you may want to turn off data roaming to avoid high charges.
Go to Settings, then Cellular, tap Cellular Data Options and turn off data roaming.

Additional Tips

Reset statistics:
To track your data usage from a specific date, you can reset the statistics. Go to Settings, then Cellular, scroll down and tap Reset Stats. This will reset the data usage counter to zero.

Wi-Fi support:
Wi-Fi Assist automatically uses cellular data when your Wi-Fi connection is weak. To turn this feature off, go to Settings, then Cellular, and scroll down to turn off Wi-Fi Assist.

Check carrier data plans:
Check your carrier's data plan and usage limits regularly through their app or website to stay within your data allowance.

Effectively managing your cellular data helps you avoid unexpected charges and ensures you stay connected when you need it most.
