Activating severe weather alerts is easy with Apple's Weather app. This gives us the ability to receive emergency weather alerts based on our current location as well as specific locations. These severe weather alerts include tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings, flash flood warnings and other emergency weather notifications. Follow the steps below to enable weather alerts on your iPhone:
1. Open the Weather app on your iPhone. You can install it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/weather/id1069513131.
2. If prompted, allow the app to access your location.
3. Select the 3 horizontal lines at the bottom right of the app to view all your locations.
4. Select the circle containing 3 dots at the top right of the app and select Notifications.
5. Enable severe weather alerts under Current Location.
