Can we build a bridge across the divide to reach those we care about? Comedian and storyteller Bill Bernat tackles the difficult subject of clinical depression. Depression is common, but most people are hesitant to talk to people who have the condition about it. After his own experience, Bill realized how important it was to be able to talk about his depression and have a real connection with another person. Bill gives advice to the “bridge curious” on what other people living with this condition might find helpful. Responsible for marketing strategy and operations for this rapidly growing organization.

Led go-to-market (GTM) planning and execution in partnership with the leadership team. Design and implementation of public relations with the agency. Coordinated event messaging, strategy and logistics for large, targeted events, including Microsoft Ignite.

I like discovering people and their inner world. I work in technology marketing and I love what I do. I meditate poorly, but regularly. Creativity is another key wellness activity for me. I am an advocate for mental health awareness and share positive messages about life as a comedian, storyteller, playwright, actor and speaker. I live well with the bipolar condition most of the time and have overcome some issues such as overeating, addiction (nine years of abstinence), and social anxiety. My greatest joy is seeing people who are struggling emotionally find ways to conquer their personal demons and gain a glimpse of inner peace.
