In this video we teach you how to connect and configure a MyQ Smart Garage opener. These instructions will work for Liftmaster and Chamberlain garage door openers that have the MyQ Wifi symbol. Once your MyQ Smart Garage is connected, you will be able to remotely control your garage door to open or close it from your phone. You will also be able to check the current status of your garage door and see if it is open or closed from the phone.
If you have a newer Liftmaster or Chamberlain garage door opener, chances are it has MyQ built-in and is able to connect to your Wi-Fi network for remote control from your phone. It's a good idea to check
How to configure the MyQ smart garage door:
1. Check your garage door opener for the MyQ Wi-Fi symbol. If you have the MyQ symbol on the garage door opener cover which is usually located on the side of the device, your garage door opener should be able to connect to the MyQ app.
2. Download and install the MyQ garage door app. Set up a username and password.
3. Follow the instructions on the app then select your garage door opener from the image.
4. Make sure Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and location are enabled on your phone.
5. Press the learn button and follow the instructions on the MyQ app. Your MyQ garage door will then connect to the MyQ app and allow you to control it remotely.
