I am often asked, especially by students, how I became an astrophysicist. So I thought I would describe my journey from high school to my current job at the University of Oxford.

Note that this focuses on the UK system, but you should be able to draw parallels with your home country. Also note that my path was also made possible by a whole bunch of privileges.
