It's sometimes funny that even after explaining how I take my aerial photos using a kite to lift the camera, people still often think I use a drone instead. But who would blame them? These days, only a fool would fly a kite.
Using a kite gives me many advantages over using a drone; I'm not subject to regulations like a drone is, I can lift a much heavier and higher quality camera than most drones, and it's more unique. It takes me EXCEPTIONALLY longer to use a kite and it's a lot more frustrating but that's part of the artistic struggle I suppose. I have been creating my works this way for 15 years and it has taken me around the world several times.
