When looking for scholarships, look to your department and local societies, as these places may offer financial aid opportunities that are not as widely advertised, so you are more likely to receive them!

Kallie Moore attended Kansas City Kansas Community College (1 year) and Emporia State University (BS) where she majored in Earth Science and minored in Paleontology. While in school, Kallie participated in the Earth Science Club and completed a summer internship and senior thesis. Since 2008, Kallie has worked as the Fossil Librarian of the Paleontology Collection at the University of Montana. During her time at the University of Montana, she took various courses as a non-degree graduate student. And since 2017, she has been a science communicator, hosting and content consultant for PBS Eons! Kallie also has a first book coming out this fall /"Tales of the Prehistoric World/". Kallie's higher education journey included moving from high school to community college and then transferring to a 4-year institution.
