Telehealth visits remain non-billable at this time – but the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has begun implementing a phased approach to requiring home health agencies to report all telehealth visits.
Telehealth reporting will become mandatory for all home care periods beginning July 1, 2023 or later. Specific G codes will be required. Until then, home health agencies should voluntarily report telehealth visits made for periods of care beginning January 1, 2023, or later.
SimiTree's revenue cycle management experts will explain the guidelines of these new billing guidelines in detail during a free 60-minute webinar on Thursday, February 16. They will also offer insight into future billing prospects.
Join us for the webinar as we:
• Explain new expectations, requirements and guidelines for telehealth billing.
• Highlight specific G codes to use for reporting.
• Cover documentation requirements for the use of each G code.
• Include a general overview of the expected expiration of waivers and flexibilities.
Presented by Lynn Labarta, Vice President, Post-Acute Revenue Cycle Management
