Manchester City's pre-season tour of the United States began with a 4-3 defeat to Celtic in North Carolina.

A first-half brace from Nicolas Kuhn and a smart finish from Kyogo Furuhashi saw City fall behind at the break despite Oscar Bobb also finding the net.

With Celtic's Scottish Premier League season getting underway in just over a week, their added sharpness first showed itself in the heat of Kenan Memorial Stadium in North Carolina.

A defiant second-half display, led by the irrepressible Bobb, brought City back level with Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland both on target, but the Scottish champions found a winner through substitute Luis Palma.
