Inducible genetic fate mapping (GIFM) marks and tracks cells with precise spatial and temporal control in vivo and explains how cells of a specific genetic lineage contribute to adult tissue and tissue development. Following are the techniques needed to map the fate of E12.5 mouse embryos for epifluorescent and explant analysis.
