If you experience lateral elbow pain or ulnar wrist pain, the flexor carpi ulnaris trigger point could be the cause.

ANATOMY
The flexor carpi ulnaris crosses the volar surface of the ulna and attaches proximally to the medial epicondyle of the humerus/olecranon, while its tendon attaches distally to the pisiform bone.

TRIGGER POINT
Its trigger point normally refers to the ulnar surface of the wrist but it can be heavily involved in mimic pain of the elbow flexor tendon. The trigger point is usually located in the upper third of the abdominal muscle.

NERVE ENTRAPMENT
Flexor Carpi Ulnaris has been cited to be involved in ulnar nerve entrapment (cubital tunnel syndrome). Tight FCU bands can cause tension by pulling the humeroulnar arch against the nerve.
